Welcome

My name is Gerd Zielinski and I am a resident of the Hamburg metropolitan area. I am happily married and I have adult children.

Hamburg, Germany's second largest city stands as a major European hub for science, research and education.

It's strategic importance is underscored by its port, which ranks as the third-largest in Europe. The city's rich history is evident in its operation of Germany's oldest stock exchange and the world's second-oldest commercial airport.

The city’s skyline is marked by impressive structures such as Speicherstadt, Elbphilharmonie and Chilehaus just to name a few. Hamburg's geography is unique. Often called “Venice of the North” due to its 2,496 canals and bridges which is more than any other city in the world.

The city's cultural impact is equally noteworthy. Hamburg played a pivotal role in music history as the launching pad for The Beatles' illustrious career and it is home to numerous composers, including Felix Mendelssohn and Johannes Brahms.

This blend of historical significance, economic prowess, unique geography and cultural influence makes Hamburg a truly remarkable place to call home.
